Why we exist

The Southeast produces elite athletes. Nobody was protecting them.

The major representation firms — CAA Sports, Klutch Sports Group, Wasserman and the other groups that handle professional contracts — are very good at what they are built to do. They are built to represent professionals. That is the business, and it starts at the point an athlete turns pro.

Which leaves a gap, and the gap is not anybody’s fault. By the time a professional agency enters an athlete’s life, the most consequential decisions have already been made: which offers to take seriously, which deals to sign, whether the name was ever protected, and what the athlete’s brand already looks like to a company deciding whether to invest in it. Those decisions get made at fifteen and sixteen, by families doing their best with no one to ask.

Dollar Performance was built to be in the room for those decisions. We are the first firm in the Carolinas focused entirely on high school and college athletes, and we work with families throughout the Southeast — the years where guidance is worth the most and available the least.

We know it from the inside. Three brothers, two college careers, one five-star. The lessons have already been learned — families who work with us get them from the start.

Four disciplines, one plan

Everything an elite young athlete needs, under one roof.

Most families end up stitching together a trainer, a recruiting service, a marketing person and a lawyer who has never read an NIL agreement. We run all four as a single strategy.

01

NIL Advisory

Deal review, term negotiation, brand-fit screening and the full NCHSAA compliance package — prepared correctly, before anything is signed.

  • Contract review and plain-English breakdowns
  • Rate benchmarking and term negotiation
  • FTC-compliant “#Ad” disclosure language built into every agreement
  • NCHSAA certification, disclosure filing and NFHS course guidance

02

Recruiting & Exposure

Film that coaches actually watch, a target list that reflects reality, and a calendar built around the camps and evaluation windows that move the needle.

  • Highlight reel direction and Hudl profile strategy
  • College target lists and coach outreach
  • Camp, combine and showcase planning
  • Visit preparation and offer evaluation

03

Brand Building

A name, a mark, a voice and a media kit — so that when a national brand looks you up, they find a professional, not a highlight account.

  • Personal identity, logo and wordmark development
  • Partnership one-sheets and media kits
  • Social strategy, content calendars and captions
  • Trademark filing coordination for the athlete's name

04

Performance Training

Position-specific work, speed and strength development and nutrition coaching — led by a former Division I receiver who has done the work himself.

  • Position skill development, football and basketball
  • Speed, explosiveness and strength programming
  • Nutrition and body-composition coaching
  • Camp and testing preparation

And the layer underneath all four. A student athlete under eighteen cannot sign a major contract on his own, and cannot protect his own name without a parent or guardian’s signature. We have working relationships with attorneys whose practices include college and NFL clients, and we are building relationships with financial institutions so families can choose for themselves who helps grow the portfolio. How the legal and financial side works.

The network

We are small on purpose. Our relationships are not.

A family firm in Denver, North Carolina should not have the phone numbers we have. We do because we spent two decades inside this world before we started advising anyone in it.

01

Representation

Dollar Performance has relationships with several of the largest football representation groups in the country, including 1 of 1 Agency, Athletes First and WIN Sports Group. We expect to work alongside all of them as our athletes reach that stage.

That matters for one reason. The professional agency is the last step in an athlete’s career, not the first, and the athletes who arrive there in the strongest position are the ones whose brand, film and market value were built deliberately from the ninth grade forward. We plan toward that step from the beginning so that when it comes, the athlete is choosing between firms rather than hoping one calls.

  • Long-view planning against professional representation standards
  • Introductions when an athlete reaches that stage
  • Deal terms benchmarked against what the top firms accept
02

Negotiated at the top of the market

Dollar Performance has helped negotiate an endorsement contract with Nike on behalf of a client athlete. We are not going to discuss whose deal it was or what it was worth — that is the client’s business, and a firm that leaks terms is a firm you should not hire. What we will say is that we have sat across from a global apparel brand’s people, read their paper, and come back with changes.

That matters because the first draft a brand sends a high school family is written entirely for the brand. Exclusivity broader than the money justifies. Category locks that quietly kill three future deals. Content obligations with no cap. Term lengths that run through a college career. Someone has to know which of those clauses are standard and which are simply hopeful, and most families are reading their first endorsement contract with no way to tell the difference.

  • National apparel and footwear contract experience
  • Exclusivity, category and term review before anyone signs
  • Rate benchmarking against comparable athlete deals
  • Renewal and option windows tracked so leverage is not lost by default
03

Media and exposure

Rankings and coverage are not luck. They are the output of relationships with the people who evaluate, rank and write about young athletes. We have relationships across ESPN, CBS Sports, Sports Illustrated, 247Sports, On3, Rivals and MaxPreps — built the honest way, by having an athlete in the family worth covering.

We know which evaluators cover the Southeast, what film they want and when they want it, how a ranking actually gets moved, and how to place a story that helps an athlete instead of exposing them. Most families never get told any of that.

  • Film cut and delivered to the evaluators who matter
  • Ranking and recruiting-profile management
  • Interview preparation and story placement

Compliance first

In North Carolina, high school NIL is legal. It is also unforgiving.

NIL is permitted for NCHSAA athletes — but only when every condition is met. Compensation cannot be tied to athletic performance. School names, uniforms, mascots, marks and logos are off limits. Nine product categories are banned outright. Any athlete under 18 must have a parent or guardian as a party to the agreement, and both must complete the NFHS education course before signing.

The signed contract then has to be disclosed — unredacted — to the principal, the athletic director, the superintendent, the board chair, every relevant head coach, and the NCHSAA itself. Get any of it wrong and the penalty lands on the athlete: ineligibility.

We handle that entire package. It is the least glamorous part of what we do and the reason families call us first.

Appearances, autographs, camps and clinics, endorsements, commercials and social media content
Pay tied to the extent or quality of athletic performance

How it works

A clear path from first conversation to signed deal.

Evaluation

We sit down with the athlete and the family. Film, testing numbers, academics, current offers, current following, and what the family actually wants out of the next three years. No fee, no commitment.

The plan

A written twelve-month plan across all four disciplines — training blocks, camp calendar, film deadlines, content cadence, brand targets and the compliance steps that have to be completed before any deal can be considered.

Build the asset

Identity, media kit, highlight film and social presence get built before we take a single deal to market. Brands pay for a professional package, not potential.

Bring deals to the table

We screen for brand fit and eligibility, benchmark the rate, negotiate the terms, write in the disclosure language, and file the NCHSAA package. The family signs — never before they understand every clause.

Protect the long game

Trademark the name. Track the obligations. Build toward the professional representation groups we already know. And manage the transition into college, which is the least settled part of this entire business — and the part we watch hardest.
